About Show
Cirque du Soleil LUZIA is a vibrant, poetic journey through an imagined Mexico, blending myth, culture, and breathtaking acrobatics. The story follows a traveler who parachutes into this dreamscape, encountering rain gods, hummingbirds, jaguars, and spirits as scenes transform from desert plains to ocean floors. With over 10,000 litres of recycled warm water used on stage, Cirque du Soleil LUZIA pushes theatrical boundaries with its unique rain curtain and wet-surface choreography. Directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, with a dynamic original score by Nortec Collective, the show combines traditional Mexican music with modern electronica to heighten every scene’s emotion.
